Ford (2003 F-450 Diesel): Catastrophic engine destruction. The crank broke, went through the engine.... At least $16,000 to fix. Diesel trucks should go over 200,000 miles, but this was at 107,800. Barely past Ford's warranty. "New" Ford won't help.
